Electrical Outlet Installation & Replacement in Denver
Older properties may feature outdated electrical systems that can’t keep up with our increasing technological demands. The typical household will have several appliances and electronics running simultaneously: air conditioners, water heaters, dishwashers, refrigerators, washers and dryers, as well as computers, entertainment systems, and other gadgets.
Call (303) 731-5469Protecting Your Home With GFCI Outlets
Did you know that a GFCI shuts off power within milliseconds if it detects that electricity is leaking from a circuit? This helps prevent shocks, electrocution, and electrical fires.
Over 400 people die from electrocution in the U.S. each year. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) estimates that two-thirds of these electrocutions could have been prevented with GFCI protection. GFCI’s are required in bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, garages, unfinished basements, outdoor outlets, and crawl spaces.
The more you know, the safer you can be.

Which Type of Outlet Should You Install?
With the need for more technology in our homes and ongoing industry advancements, our electrical systems and outlets will also need to be updated in order to adapt to our changing demands.
Two-Prong vs. Three-Prong Outlets
Two-prong outlets are often found in older homes. These are no longer compliant with current code (unless there isn’t already a grounding wire present in the circuit that leads to the outlet).
We recommend upgrading outdated outlets to code-compliant three-prong outlets—these have a ground wire that will direct any power surges away from your home and into the ground. Three-prong outlets can help you avoid electrical shocks and provide increased safety in your home.
Book OnlineUSB Outlets
USB outlets look just like regular outlets, but with USB ports added in. Most outlets will feature two ports; you also have the choice to install outlets that are fully dedicated to USB connectivity. Before going forward with installation, we will determine if your home’s amperage can handle the demand of charging several devices from this type of outlet.
Other types of outlets we install include cable outlets, as well as tamper-resistant outlets (ideal for homes with small children).
What About AFCI and GFCI Outlets?
AFCI breakers and GFCI outlets help you avoid potentially dangerous or fatal electrical situations.
AFCIs (arc-fault circuit interrupters) are not actually outlets, but breakers. In the event of arcing, they will cut power to the affected outlets before more serious damage or injury occurs.
GFCI (ground-fault circuit interrupter) outlets are designed to protect you from accidental electrocutions. For example, if you suddenly drop a hair dryer that’s running into a tub full of water, the GFCI outlet will sense a change in the current and trip—so if you instinctively reach in the water to retrieve your hair dryer, you will avoid an electrical shock.
We can help you install GFCI outlets in the required and recommended areas, including bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, pool areas, and garages.
